Of Two Minds is a two-woman performance film featuring the late Karen Black and Jennifer Elster. It is the final film Karen Black performed in before she passed away. Karen Black (b. 1939 - 2013; Five Easy Pieces, Nashville, Easy Rider). The story begins in a happy marriage that disintegrates as two sides of the brain (Black and Elster) pluck away at it to justify their own reckless behavior. They ruthlessly argue about an affair that went terribly wrong, resulting in loneliness born from bad decisions. The two sides go at it with conflicting plots of revenge and useless recoup. Whose fault is it anyway? Which part of the brain is responsible for the destruction of her life? These questions unravel in this strange, genre-bending cocktail of a film that is both a tragedy and a comedy.
